What We Do

National Housing Group (NH Group) is a purpose designed vehicle to meet the various compliance requirements involved in attaining and holding National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) incentives. NH Group meets the yearly compliance requirements, including the lodging of the Annual Statement of Compliance under NRAS regulations.

NH Group addresses several fundamental functions required by participants to enable the National Rental Affordability Scheme to be effectively employed.

NH Group cultivates the submission of high quality compliant applications by skilled and practiced consultants for NRAS assessment. For an application to be eligible for assessment significant analysis and documentation in support of a project must be furnished. The allocation of NRAS incentives is a competitive selection process, applications require a substantial degree of resources and expertise to provide the best chance of being allocated the NRAS incentives.

A principle requirement to apply for NRAS incentives is that an applicant must be an NRAS Approved Participant. That is, they must have a submission that constitutes a ‘large-scale investment’ (depending on the round of offering, this is typically between 100 and 1000 individual dwellings). To allow NRAS incentives to be accessed by landowners, builders, investors and developers, NH Group pools applications for submission to NRAS. Moreover, because of the requirement that housing with NRAS incentives attached are only to be bought or sold by a compliant entity, NH Group as an Approved NRAS Participant overcomes this limitation with the creation of a platform whereby the properties can be bought and sold by investors and owners without restriction.

What does National Housing Group do?

  • Provides access to NRAS incentives for landowners, builders, investors and developers who would not otherwise be eligible to apply.

  • Facilitates the buying and selling of NRAS elected properties that would not otherwise be eligible to be bought or sold.
  • Creates high quality applications to allow best chance of NRAS incentive approval, in the competitive assessment process.
